The Doomsday Apocalypse

By Jifeng Yu

On December 21, 2012

The moment the clock struck 8:00 PM, all the world’s volcanoes exploded at once—even the ones that had been extinct for years.  The ground shook and ashes spewed everywhere.  Josephano felt it the second the ashes covered the sky.

He could hear sirens and screaming in the streets.  His mom then charged into the room, grabbed Josephano and took him to Giant Eagle to stock up on food and supplies for the family, just in case.

When they were done, they had two shopping carts full of food, bottled water, medicine and various toiletries.

They went home, turned on the news, and discovered that over two million people had already died in the explosions.

      They went to prepare dinner.

January 21, 2013

Josephano’s family was still alive, but probably not for much longer with only five cans of soup and half a bag of Doritos left in the pantry.

Josephano’s little sister, Annabella, had already died due to pneumonia.

January 28, 2013

Josephano’s seventh cousin thrice removed who was staying with them at that time, Luke Michaels Sony Jay-Z the Third, left to find food.  He never came back.

Most of the world’s population had died due to the lack of food.  The sky had been gray the whole time because of all the volcano ashes, so more people had perished as a result of high levels of carbon monoxide.

Josephano’s mom’s last words were, “Curse the Mayan calendar!”

Lastly, it was Josephano’s turn to die… so he did.  His dad soon followed after him. And that was the end of the Jay-Z family.

A month later, the last five people still alive on earth died in a tsunami in Virginia.

And thus, the Doomsday Prophecy came true…

Gummy Bears

Ruby red,

Sunshine yellow,

Mossy green,

Chew them, chomp them,

Eat them messily, neatly,

Or all at once.

However you want,

Whenever you want,

To enjoy them.
